Ber­lin-based Splizz pres­ents four new songs that take things to the next level in every respect. As soon as the need­le drops into the groo­ve, the room tem­pe­ra­tu­re cools noti­ce­ab­ly, and the first notes are like wrap­ping you in that cozy, dark cloak that the self-titled tape alre­a­dy enve­lo­ps. The clear, cold, „strip­ped to the bone“ and light-weight sound aes­the­tic is jux­ta­po­sed with deep­ly per­so­nal lyrics, reve­al­ing a band that seems to stradd­le the line bet­ween two stools, mas­terful­ly quo­ting while remai­ning unrea­li­sti­cal­ly unique.
